You can specify a minimum number of gallons of gasoline, diesel, or both. The minimum will be used to calculate freight costs when the actual amount loaded is less than the specified minimum. For example, if the minimum is set to 5,000 gallons for gas, but you order only 4,500 gallons, the system will use 5,000 gallons to calculate freight costs for a Best Rack report.
You are not required to set a minimum freight gallon. If no minimum gallons are set, freight costs will be calculated on the actual product quantities entered for a Best Rack report.
You may set a different minimum for gasoline products, diesel products, and a mixed load of both.
You can also set whether to use the gasoline rate or diesel rate for mixed loads.
