If you previously used the Freight Management available through the Price Management menu, you will need to take the following steps to upgrade to EFM:

  1. Freight Rates: The master freight rate table used by standard users is not accessible to EFM users, therefore you will need to define at least one freight rate table within EFM. Of course, you can also define as many freight rate tables as you desire.

  2. Surcharge Sets: You will need to define at least one surcharge set. In standard Freight Management, surcharges were not required. In EFM, you must associate each driver and carrier with a surcharge set. If you do not use surcharges, we recommend you set up a surcharge rate of zero.

  3. Delivery Areas: You will need to define delivery areas and assign each destination to a delivery area.

  4. Drivers and Carriers: Define drivers and carriers and assign them to a delivery area.

  5. Destinations: If you have existing destinations, you will need to edit them include address information and to assign them to a delivery area.
