You can setup freight costs based on a carrier’s freight rate table or an agreed upon point-to-point freight charge between a terminal and destination.

To setup charges based on a freight rate tables:

  1. Build freight rate tables that specify rates by range of miles for gasoline and diesel products.

  2. Define surcharge rates with an effective start and end date.

  3. (EFM users only) Define delivery areas.

  4. (EFM users only) Define drivers and carriers, and assign them to a delivery area.

  5. Define destinations, including mileage between the origin and destination, and miscellaneous flat fees.

  6. (EFM users only) Assign each destination to a delivery area.

To setup a point-to-point freight charge:

  1. On the Destination setup page, select the carrier and enter the point-to-point gas, diesel and mixed flat rate charge on each terminal where you have a point-to-point freight charge agreement.

  2. Alternatively select the option to apply a point-to-point surcharge to the flat rate according to you agreement with the carrier.
