Current Messages
Lists messages received in your DTN DataConnect mailbox for the current day.
NOTE: For portal subscribers, documents designated as portal-only cannot be viewed, downloaded or printed using DataConnect.
If you do not see any messages, make sure you do not have any advanced filters applied. To do that, click the Set Filter link and then click Clear All Filters.
Definitions:
- Refresh: Use to refresh the display with the latest received messages.
- Download: Use to download selected messages. (Only available for translated documents.)
- Print: Use to print selected messages.
- Set Filter: Provides granular filtering options for finding specific messages.
- Supplier: The supplier who sent the message. Click the Refiner Name to view the message online.
- Received Date: The date and time the message was received in your mailbox.
- Group: The document class.
- Document: A document type in a document class (see below).
- Translated: Displays Yes or No.
- Size: The size of each message in kilobytes. A kilobyte is roughly equal to 1,000 bytes or characters.
Archived Messages
Provides access to messages received over the past 30 days.
Definitions
- Archive Date: The date on which the messages were received. Click the date to open a list of messages for that date.
- Number of Messages: The number of messages received for the archive date.

DC Messages tasks
Set Advanced Filter
Location: DataConnect > DC Messages
NOTE: If you do not see any messages, make sure you do not have any advanced filters applied. To do that, click Clear Filters.
- Click the header button with the filter icon (options are Supplier, Group, Document, and Translated).
- Select the plus sign next to the items you’d like to include in your search.
- Click Filter.
- Repeat steps 1-3 for each header button you’d like to filter.
View a Message
Location: DataConnect > DC Messages
- Click the Refiner Name for the message. The message appears. You’ll know a message has been read when it is not bold in your message list.
- To print the message, click Print.
- To view the next message, click Next.
- To view the previous message, click Prev.
- To go back to your message list, click Back.
Print a Message
Location: DataConnect > DC Messages
Clicking the Print button opens a rich text document that can be opened with Microsoft Word and printed, or saved to a file.

Click the print selection box for the message.

Click the Print button.

Click Open to open the document in Microsoft Word.

Follow procedures within Word to print the document.
Save a Message
Location: DataConnect > DC Messages
Clicking the Print button opens a rich text document that can be opened with Microsoft Word and printed or saved to a file.
- Click the print selection box for the message.
- Click the Print button.
- Click Save and save the document to a folder or other location within your system.
Download a Message
Location: DataConnect > DC Messages
Here’s how to download the XML file:
- Click the download selection box for the message.
- Click the Download button.
- Follow the online instructions to complete the download.
