If I want to receive prices from a certain terminal, do I need to activate it in Price Management > Activate Terminals?
No. You should start to receive pricing from that terminal automatically. Activate Terminals is for when you don’t normally receive pricing from a certain terminal, but you would like to use it in your Price Formulas or when you manually enter a price.
I manually download prices from PricePoint every day. Can I do this in Fuel Buyer Exports?
Yes, You can download prices from Fuel Buyer Exports as often as you like. Any of the Support Analysts at the Fuel Buyer Help Desk can assist you if you have questions.
Can I see my DataConnect mailbox in Fuel Buyer?
DataConnect is set up as a separate login, but we can add the DataConnect tab to your Fuel Buyer account. Please note that your price messages are available on your Price Messages page in Fuel Buyer.
Does the FTP file work the same?
The process is the same, but the file will be routed to a separate FTP folder. Your process for pulling in the files will need to be updated with the new FTP credentials (user name and password).
Do I have to recreate my price adjustments and/or price formulas?
Yes, formulas and adjustments need to be created in Fuel Buyer.
Do I have to recreate my cross references for my back office?
No, your cross references are copied over from PricePoint to Fuel Buyer.
What is I need to re-download prices?
If something happens and you need to re-download prices for your back office system, you can specify a received after date and time. Any previously exported prices received after that date and time will be included in the export. The “Received After” option exports prices that have a time stamp that indicates they were received
What Price Export reports are available?
The Price Formula Report and the Prices Not Exported Report. The Price Formula Report displays the price formulas that have been flagged for inclusion in an export through the Price Formulas screen for the most recent 5 days. You can use it to see how a price was derived. The Prices Not Exported Report helps
How do I cross reference Fuel Buyer terms to those used by my back office?
To add cross references, you will need to go do the Cross References screen within Price Exports. Once cross references have been added, the export process will use your identifiers for supplier, terminal, and product. Cross references are applied on a company-wide basis.
