MODULE AVAILABILITY   Pro*   Standard* Price View Exports

*This feature is an optional add-on for Pro and Standard users.

The Enterprise Administrator (EA) role is a super user with the ability to customize DTN Fuel Buyer on a company-wide basis. Any customizations that are defined by the EA apply to all DTN Fuel Buyer users on the account. This is beneficial if your account has more than one user, since you can streamline the application’s corporate-wide business rules by naming ONE user as the EA.

In general, the EA has the ability to set customizations that apply to all users on the same account as follows:

  • The EA can add, change, and delete settings that apply to all users – such as: Best Rack reports, entering custom prices, inactivating prices, managing price adjustments and price changes, setting up special pricing and blend rules, and creating custom location and product groups. Only the items managed through Enterprise Admin are shared with other users.

  • EA-defined settings are designated as Set by Admin. All users on the account can see and use Set by Admin settings. However, in most cases, users cannot change or delete customizations that have been set by the EA. In addition, a user has the option of creating his or her own custom settings to be used by the user only.

  • Single users will not be able to change or delete EA-defined settings.

  • Single users will be able to set and use their own settings, in addition to using EA-defined settings.

Screens that the Enterprise Admin can customize are very similar to the same categories in the Price Management window and can be seen on the left side of the page.

If the Enterprise Admin chooses to create rules for exporting, this only impacts Fuel Buyer users as others who don’t use exports are not affected by the created rule.
